Men Wrestling Singlet Low

The door of Tim Kring's Orpheus

Synopsis: October 1963: One month before the assassination of President Kennedy.
Forrestal Chandler, a young student broke, never had to go into this bar. He would never have talked to this beautiful brunette, nor offer him a drink. Because the CIA was chosen as a guinea pig "experiment" designed to test the effects of LSD on the human mind. Chandler ingest a massive dose and develops frightening psychic powers: hyper-vigilance, reading thoughts, taking control of the brain, or ability to cause hallucinations ...
The young man becomes a weapon against his perfect, coveted by both the CIA and mafia killers. And its fascinating ability may lead him much farther than he imagined. Up
change the course of history?

I wanted first to thank Livraddict and Editions Michel Lafon for this partnership.
My opinion:
History: tests on guinea pigs governmental organizations unwilling LEAD Forrestal in Chandler LSD trip a phenomenal power. He will succeed to escape to try to find Naz, which gave the product which is linked to him in a strange way. Will then interact with the CIA, FBI and even the KGB to arrest Chandler and force him to do something horrible.
Characters: The author provides a wealth of characters to follow the Magi to the KGB, to the Cuban American ... The three main characters are Chandler, eternal student almost 30 years which is trapped and a victim of revenge, BC, member of the FBI after a blunder is found in the closet and Melchior, field agent who becomes a free electron to return to the USA. The whole book is a race between these 3 here, others coming into play as Naz and Song. We do not focus specifically to the characters but we really want to know what happens to them and how they will manage to get by, especially for Chandler. Their history is fascinating!
What I liked: The author happens to make us travel in a world between reality and fiction, between fact and fantasy in a rather surprising. We are both in the head of the three main characters and it's nice to see through their eyes the reality of things. A good psychological thriller that leads us to reflect on what the manipulation of human brains by some people in this world.
What I did not like: At times we get lost somewhere between the various "associations", CIA, FBI, KGB intermingle, which have spies in each other and which suddenly seems very scheming and company! But I think the author wanted us to state something that happens more or less in the reality of the time, even today ...
Note: 16/20
Finally: I enjoyed this book opens perspectives on reality, even if it is a fiction ...
