Warning, spoilers on previous volumes!
My opinion:
History: Ever made a huge mistake at the end of the previous volume and try to fix somehow. It will not do as it wishes and will still manage to make matters worse (yes, it's possible). Is that one day they can live happy and touching with Damen?
Characters: Ever is still a bit naive and gets caught in a trap which she struggles to get out! After his transformation, Haven became somewhat distant and is on the side of Roman. The latter is doing everything to get out of its hinges Ever, especially since it is now linked to him. Ever continues to use magic while the effects in his first spell were negative. It is always difficult to discern who are friends of his enemies. Jude tries to prove to him (the price of his blood) that is the side of good and Ava, despite their trick she has played in the Volume 2 is back and even helps Ever to see more clearly! Miles failed me in this book, he But a discovery in Italy who goes to Ever and Damen in an awkward position. Damen is not present, as are binoculars while for me it is very endearing characters in previous volumes.
What I liked: reading, even in English, is still pretty easy. The author comes to us into his story and make us ask questions about the decisions that takes its heroine. Ever, despite the fact that it is somewhat annoying trying to get out by herself in trouble in which she has filled her marriage without cause someone else with it. Although they found a way of touching with Damen, their relationship became distant and the evolution of Ever has much to do. I loved the black side of his character and how the author deals with the perpetual summer and the land of shadows in this volume. The end still opens a different horizon for the next volume!
What I did not like: history repeats itself over and over again except that the performers are changing a bit and Eve trying to make decisions often difficult. As in previous volumes, the tension builds slowly and we are therefore entitled to some lengths at the beginning of the book ...
Note: 15/20
Finally: book read in VO, I put the time but I made it! I think the 5th and final reading to be released in paperback in March, to know how Ever is doing.
My next reading will Crescendo VO, after Hush Hush Becca Fitzpatrick.
