Does The The Pink Witch In Wiz Of Oz Have Wings

Hush, Volume 2: Crescendo Becca Fitzpatrick

Synopsis: Nora would have guessed that his life was far from perfect. Even starting a relationship with Patch, her guardian angel (which, despite its name, is not angelic) and surviving a murder attempt, things are not always rosy. Patch takes a step back and Nora can not tell if it's for his own good or if his interests have just carried on his mortal enemy: Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with discovering what it was really happened the night he left for Portland and never returned. More
Nora plunges into the mystery of the death of his father, the more she wonders if her lineage Nephilim would not have anything to do with it. Explaining why she seems more at risk than any girl. Patch does not respond to his questions and putting himself in her way, she must try to find the answer by itself but is based on the idea that she has a guardian angel, it takes more and more risks. Can it really count on patch or hiding it even darker secrets than she can imagine?

Attention risk spoiler on Volume 1!
My opinion:
History: We find Nora and patch together, the latter having become a guardian angel. But unfortunately, someone will still get in the way of their happiness and they will have all their love to achieve peace between them. Meanwhile, Nora learns some dark secrets he'll have been better to ignore ...
Characters: Nora is still in love with him and Patch declares his love. Unfortunately, it is monitored closely and can not answer him. Nora understands when she has only one solution to save him and leaves him. His moments of doubt are well expressed and we suffer along with it. Patch is not present but his actions do fly every time and you find yourself smiling throughout the reading. Vee is equal to itself, always there to help Nora although the latter can not confide the nature of Patch. Rixon, Patch's friend is also present and we understand more as and when what are the consequences. In short, well drawn characters, humor and darkness are an interesting plot!
What I liked: The pen of the author is very nice (even VO) and very easy to follow. While the previous volume ends on a somewhat positive note, she manages to turn the situation so that Nora is no longer sure of anything. Nobody knows she killed Chauncey but it seems that someone wants him. It starts very easily into the skin (even if at times they will react differently) and I have quite a bit disturbed and startled a few times. And then the end is simply both stunning and tragic, the author leaving us with a horrible taste on the tongue ...
What I did not like: there are some moments a bit flat but that patch failed me most in this book. Even if he makes a few appearances, they are far too rare for my taste! And then Nora always gets to be annoying, even if it arises more from the right questions, it takes time to react! It was a bit at times want to shake it and say it just to watch what is going to understand it!
Note: 17/20
Finally: Again an author who leaves us in a trance when you read the last lines. The wait will be long until the next! I read this book in English and I'm getting better from book to book. The following will be in their original Vampire Academy Volume 4!
